Can I get broadband with no price rises?
Not among the 36 deals we track today. Every one either adds a stated amount each spring or says prices may change. The deals below have the smallest stated rises.
How much do price rises add to a broadband contract?
Across the 27 deals with rises stated in pounds, the middle figure is £96 extra over the contract. We add it to every deal's total cost.
What does "may rise, amount not stated" mean?
Gigaclear and Sky say prices may change during the contract without stating by how much, so we can't include it in the total. Those deals are never labelled fixed-price.
Can I leave if my price goes up?
If the rise was set out in pounds and pence when you signed up, no: it is part of your contract. If a provider raises prices in a way that wasn’t in your contract, Ofcom’s rules let you leave without paying an exit fee, within a month of being told.
